The soldiering on awards is a programme that recognises outstanding achievements in the armed forces community.
What are Carma’s Links to the Armed Forces Community?
One of our Co-Founders, Jim Holland, who served in the Royal Navy for 13 years before being medically discharged due to a rugby injury, faced challenges during his own re-settlement journey.
However, he found success in various roles, including positions at Vodafone and Sky. Inspired by a friend involved with the Green Task Force, Jim is dedicated to playing his part in supporting veterans and the environment.
Carma now works towards giving businesses and individuals the tools they need to create positive impact through subscriptions, tree planting days and planting trees at checkout.
Furthermore, Carma’s UK trees are planted by the Green Task Force. Allowing our customers to support positive pathways to employment for veterans and service leavers.
Below is a picture of our founders, Iain and Jim, collecting the trophy from Jeremy Vine in front of 600 attendees at The Park Plaza in Westminster.
What Award Did Carma Win?
Carma was nominated for the ‘Business Start - Up Award’ This award was in partnership with GKN Aerospace. The award was to honour an individual or group with ties to the Armed Forces Community who have started a successful business venture within the last two years whilst still maintaining 50% interest in the venture.
